VH-BSU  DHC-1 Chipmunk T.10                     (c/n  C1-

                           

                               VH-BSU began its civilian life with the Aero Club of Southern Tasmania and is seen above wearing
                                their smart livery in this shot by Norm Weeding at Hobart's Cambridge Airport, circa 1958.   By
                               1963 it had passed into private hands and the photo below, taken on the ramp at Essendon by Peter
                               Limon, is interesting in that it shows a D.H. 106 Comet in the background....not the most common
                               visitor to what was then Melbourne's international airport.   Finally, at the foot of the page it is seen
                               decked out in a truly awful paint job at Orbost, Victoria in April 1970 in this photo by Peter Kelly.
