VH-BQZ  Cessna 172B Skyhawk                      (c/n  47793)

                               

                                   This 172 was registered twice as VH-RQZ with the Royal Queensland Aero Club. The first time
                                   was in May 1963 after it had been the former VH-GOE (first registered in November 1960). Five
                                   months later it bexcame VH-BQZ and a year after that (November 1964) it was restored as -RQZ
                                  again.   In July 1965 it was again registered –BQZ which it was to carry until it was written off in a
                                  storm in 1983.   David Carter photographed it on the Rex Aviation flightline at Bankstown in 1971
