VH-BNU   DHC1 Chipmunk T.10                                     (c/n  C1/0500)


                           

                               This was a UK-built ex-RAF (WG426) Chipmunk imported into Australia in 1954.   It was
                               re-registered VH-RSR in 1957 and written off when it ditched into Lake MacQuarie near
                               Swansea, NSW on 10 April 1961.   This shot was, I believe, taken at Parafield, SA.   Note
                               Tiger leaving trail of dust with its tail skid!
