VH-BNE (2)  Cessna 172F Skyhawk                         (c/n  51949)

                               

                                    From a signwriting perspective, VH-BNE was a minimum change reregistration of the Royal New-
                                    castle Aero Club’s VH-RNF.       The club had owned the aircraft from new and operated it from
                                    from December 1964 to January 1966.  As was customary for the club at the time, the registration
                                    was changed so the club could retain the –RN* block.  In fact, this 172F was the third plane to
                                    carry the registration.    VH-BNE (2) was written off in a crash near Port Lincoln, SA on 6 Sept
                                    1981.
