VH-BMN (2)
Cessna 401A
(c/n 401A0001)

This was evidently the first 401A off
the production line. It was a
1968 model, previously US
registered N6201Q, but not imported into
Australia until 1970. . Not being a Cessna twin expert,
I
am not sure
what the subtle differences
were between the 401 and 401A. This shot was taken
on
the ramp at Essendon on a "memory lane"
trip there in 1983. I suspect John Wheatley's shot
(below) was somewhat earleir. -BMN is still active and is
currently (2012)
registered to the
Batchelor Aviation Company in remote Batchelor, N.T.
