VH-BDU  Douglas DC-3CS1C3G    (c/n   12041)


                         

                               On the ramp at Mascot, 1954.  VH-BDU was built as a C-47A-1-DK with the USAAF serial
                               42-92260.   It was transferred to the RAF as FL620 in India.  It was civilianized in 1947 and
                               went to Butler Air Transport. With the take-over of Butler by Ansett in 1958 it "did time" with
                               both Airlines of NSW and Ansett/MAL (Mandated Airlines).  In 1967 it was sold in Taiwan
                               as B-253.
