VH-BCH  (2)   Beech  35-C33 Debonair                (c/n  CD-862)

                                 

                                     Although officially described as Model 35-33s, the Debonair is usually referred to merely as the
                                     Model 33.  The basic 35-33 was a Model M35 butterfly tailed Bonanza fitted with a conventional
                                     fin and rudder.  So successful did this formula turn out to be that it was developed into a whole sub
                                     series of its own, although by the time they reached the E33 series the Debonair name was dropped
                                     and both V-tailed and straight tailed aircraft were referred to as Bonanzas.   Greg Banfield shot this
                                     one, still wearing its factory paint job at Bankstown in January 1979.   First registered in March of
                                     1967, it is still active and registered to an owner in Dubbo, NSW.
