                                  VH-AVF was a 'previously used' machine having been flying in the US as N4616P for several
                                  years before it became part of Avis Rent-a-plane’s fleet of Aztecs in January 1966.        David
                                  Carter's  nice photo above was taken at Bankstown in December 1970 after the Aztec had been
                                  freshly overhauled by Hawker de Havillands.  VH-AVF was cancelled from the register in April
                                  1974 as withdrawn from service before being restored in August 1975 to new owners.     In July
                                  1985 it was sold in Fiji as DQ-FEB where it remained until it crashed off Malolo Lailai Island on
                                  July 8, 1987.
