VH-ARM  de Havilland D..82A Tiger Moth                  (c/n  82800)

                                    

                                     VH-ARM was one of those Tigers which was destined for the RAF (as R4883) but spent
                                      its military career with the RAAF, going out to Australia in 1940.  It was civilianized in 1946.
                                      It seems to have retained the same livery over its early civilian years, David Tanner's shot
                                      above being dated a little later than Geoff Goodall's photo below, taken at Albury, NSW in
                                      September of 1965.  Incidentally the sign states: "Pilots - Please avoid blowing dust into hangars".
                                      John Wheatley's color shot at the foot of the page was probably taken at the same venue.
                                      VH-ARM is still on the register.
