                                                       At the end of 1961, to replace their old, worn out Model 170 Freighters, the then Ansett-ANA
                                                       purchased three Mark 31 Bristol 170s from the Royal Pakistani Air Force.   Notable difference
                                                       of the later mark was the dorsal fin.  This aircraft was previously S4416 with the R Pak A F. 
                                                       In 1964 it passed to the Ansett-MAL (ex Mandated Airlines) Division and is seen with their
                                                       titling at Essendon in May 1964 in the Geoff Goodall collection shot immediately below.  It
                                                       was sold in 1967 to Safe Air Ltd in New Zealand basically for spares.  It was re-registered
                                                       ZK-CVK for the ferry flight and is seen as such on the bottom photograph taken by Peter
                                                       Gates at Brisbane just prior to departure.  The old lady was broken up at Woodbourne, N.Z.
                                                       during the 1980s.
