VH-ALH  (1)   de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth                  (c/n   DHA108/T35)

                           
                                 
                               This Tiger was the former A17-111.  It is seen above in this shot by Darryl Connell (via Geoff
                               Goodall) at the old Newcastle airfield of Broadmeadow in August 1961 while in use with the
                               Royal Newcastle Aero Club.    Note club badge on the rudder.  Broadmeadow closed soon
                               after this photo was taken because the land was wanted for expanding housing, and the club
                               moved to Rutherford airfield at West Maitland where it is still based today.  The photo below,
                               by Greg Banfield, shows it at Williamtown, NSW in 1964..   VH-ALH was re-registered
                               VH-RNI  in 1966.
