VH-ABJ (1)
Stinson
SR9FM
(c/n 5727)

The photo above came from an old Stinson brochure, whilst
the
lower one was taken by a RAN
photographer by the
name of Saxon Fogarty whilst in New Guinea
en route to the UK in 1938.
Kevin Lock of Western
Australia.provides the image. I will include the blurred color
slide take
off at the foot of
the page, merely for the color scheme the Stiunson wore. VH-ABJ
was imported
in 1938 and went to
Guinea Airways who mounted it on
floats. It was "destroyed by enemy action"
(how? shot down,
straffed?) in 1942.
