VH-TAH      'Cobb'                                                                     c/n  10001
                                         Essendon, 1955
An ex C-47A-1-DK (42-24139), this aircraft served with the RAAF as A65-19 with
the call sign VHCTS.  It was relegated to freighter services as early as 1949, but it
is not sure if it ever saw passenger service.  It went to TAA's Sunbird operation in
New Guinea in 1962 as VH-SBN and worked that service until 1968 when it was
sold to (the paradoxically named) JetAirlines of Australia.  After this short-lived
operation the Australian Aid section of the Department of Foreign Affairs donated
it to the Cambodian Air Force in 1971.   The two shots below from the Peter Gates
collection show it in (top) Sunbird livery and (lower) with JetAirlines of Australia
